On this site you can get informations about echolink. I will explain how echolink works. Further I will describe how you can get connections around the world, even while you´re sitting with a mobile station in your car. On this page there will be shown which possibilities are there to work with echolink.
First Experience
I got my license for ham radio on december, 14 th, 2004. I trained with the help of an online program.
One day I heared that there was a connection on the repeater. The connection was made because of the DTMF-Tones. This was the beginning of echolink for me. First I used it as single user. Few weeks later there was an idea born, I wanted to use echolink as sysop.
So I started the experiment on 432.825 MHz. The link was called DO8EL-L. After a few days a friend told me that he wants that echolink works on the repeater. So I got a new frequency, 144.975 MHz, which is now known as BremerCityLink.
This year, in february I have to tell the REGTP about the link. They gave me a new callsign --> DO0ZBL
Many thanks to DK3BS, Heinz. He was helping me every time, he was always very kind and he never complained about my questions, because I have had so many questions. I also will name the wife of Heinz, her name is Hanna, her callsign is DF8BM. She is a wonderful woman and she supported me very often, too.
